In Indonesia, the authorities spent $6 million to advertise their positive image
The amount of $6 million over three years was spent by the Indonesian government to promote a favorable image of the Indonesian authorities on the Internet, The Jakarta Post reports citing a local anti-corruption fund. Most of the funds of almost 70% of the expenses were allocated by the Ministry of Tourism and the Creative Economy of the country. Among the recipients of this money were popular bloggers and public figures in the country. According to the news agency, on August 20, CNN Indonesia disseminated information that the Indonesian government had been criticized several times by foreign media.
