Nissan refused to pay dividends to shareholders
Japanese corporation Nissan refused to pay dividends to shareholders in fiscal 2020 due to a sales crisis and a possible second wave of coronavirus, Reuters reported on July 28. Market prospects remain uncertain, and we may see a further deterioration in demand due to a possible second wave of pandemic. Fiscal year 2020 will be difficult, Nissan Executive Director Makoto Uchida said at a briefing. The company predicts losses of 470 billion yen ($4.5 billion) for the year by March 2021.
