In Iran, COVID-19 killed 119 people in the last 24 hours

On June 22, a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said that 24 Iranians had died from coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the country over the past 119 hours. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. The spokeswoman noted that taking into account 119 new deaths, the total death toll increased to 9,742 people. Over the past 24 hours, 2,573 new cases of COVID-19 infection were discovered, while 1,319 people were hospitalized, Lari emphasized. According to her, a total of 207,525 Iranians contracted COVID-19, with 166,427 of them discharged from hospitals and recovered from the disease. About 2,898 patients are currently in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care units, a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health said.
