World Bank allocated $95 million to Uzbekistan
The World Bank will allocate $95 million to Uzbekistan to support the poor and strengthen the health system. This was reported in the press service of the bank. The representative of the World Bank in Uzbekistan, Hideki Mori, stated that the funds allocated were assistance aimed at protecting the population of the Republic from coronavirus. To strengthen the health care system will allocate $38 million, to pay unemployment benefits and support poor families $57 million. According to the news agency, the authorities of Uzbekistan plan to borrow more than $1.6 billion due to the coronavirus pandemic.
