South Ossetia to study issue of introduction of distance education
The issue of the introduction of distance education in South Ossetia will be studied in schools of the Republic. This was reported to Res Agency on March 24 by the Head of the Department of Pre-School, General and Supplementary Education of the Ministry Nina Jioyeva. She said that remote training was discussed at a meeting in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic. It agreed to study the issue more thoroughly. Directors will study on the ground how many students are provided with computers and smartphones, whether they have the opportunity to access the Internet at home, and will present us with their proposals, journalists quoted the words of the official. She also said that new ways of training want to be introduced if the quarantine is extended. It should be noted that in South Ossetia from March 18 to March 31 quarantine was introduced in all schools of the republic. There is also a ban on all cultural and mass events in the country. This was due to the spread of coronavirus in neighbouring States.
