Russian Railways suspends most trains to Belarus

OAO Russian Railways suspends most of the international passenger flights between Russia and Belarus due to the coronavirus situation. This is reported on March 18 by the press service of the company. The running of international passenger trains, non-stop and trailer cars between Russia and Belarus is suspended, except for the main trains from Moscow and St. Petersburg, the statement reads. As specified, nine trains will continue to run on the Russian-Belarusian direction. These are flights from Moscow to Minsk, Brest, Grodno and Polotsk, as well as from St. Petersburg to Minsk, Brest and Gomel. We remind that earlier the Russian authorities decided to temporarily restrict entry into the country for foreign citizens, including citizens of Belarus. The restriction will be in force until May 1, 2020.
